Sales Manager

A great opportunity to work with a company who has a world leading position in the development and manufacture of photodetector modules, for applications such as bioluminescence and chemiluminescence, and in X-ray detection and data acquisition systems.

Main duties;

  • Devising sales campaigns and strategy
  • Planning and making customer visits
  • Preparing and making quotations
  • Maintaining and optimising business with existing accounts
  • Developing new business with existing and new accounts
  • Participating in exhibitions and conferences
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of the Company’s products and applications
  • Keep in touch with competitors’ products and prices

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Management of designated Sales region in all product areas
  • Following up of sales leads generated from promotional activities
  • Maintenance of designated customer accounts
  • Generation of new business and achieve a minimum of 30% growth per year

 Support Duties:

  • Assisting with promotional tasks
  • Assisting with gathering market information
  • Assisting with market and business plans
  • Input for customer records, enquiry/follow up system
  • Entering data into relevant IT systems
  • Producing monthly reports on activities
  • Carrying out other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • High level of customer service skills
  • History of achieving Sales targets, new business development and achieving significant increases in revenue and profit.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in selling products based in one or more of the following fields:
    • Medical diagnostic equipment
    • X-ray measurement equipment
    • Light measurement instrumentation
    • Electronic based instrumentation equipment
    • Computer parts sales
    • Imaging sales, such as cameras, framegrabber boards etc
  • Experience of working in a small company environment
  • Computer literate – especially with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately, paying attention to detail and work under own initiative
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
  • High standard in written and spoken English
  • Relevant Engineering qualification to degree or equivalent level
